• In 2007 : The regional authority is investing 16,4 millions euros in the development of renewable energies and energy control.

• In 2006 : More than 200 millions euros have been invested in Languedoc-Roussillon for renewable energies, a sector with a strong development :
  + 120% for solar thermal applications
+ 220% for solar photovoltaic network applications
+ 460% for wood energy applications (15 MW in 2006)
