The Languedoc-Roussillon Region, partner of ENERGAÏA

“The tremendous development of renewable energies in Europe and worldwide has focused on the major role that regions play in the use of their applications and their impact on the economical development of territories.

It is a deep evolution in the set up of energetical systems, based until now, on a very centralised production and distribution system.

We, in Languedoc-Roussillon, french region which have put, since the last three years, considerable efforts for the development of renewable energies, consider that Regions are obviousely the base to develop and set up this logic of decentralised energy.

The new technologies of this sector contributes also to the growth of the territories where they are developed, bringing employment and wealth.

ENERGAÏA, the International Renewable Energies Exhibition of Montpellier will be the meeting point, and a businness platform for all who, in France, In Europe, in the Mediterranean world and well beyond, wish to contribute to the environmental well being, and in the same time to the development of companies and employment.

It is the deep meaning of the support of the Region to this first International Renewable Energies Exhibition of Montpellier.
