 The Eco-Maison Sud de France (green building)
discover the house with low ecological footprint !
The Eco-Maison Sud de France is set up by the CNDB (French National Committee for the development of wood technologies) exclusively for the exhibition, with the support of the Languedoc-Roussillon Region, and gives the opportunity to visualize in real the applications of technologies in renewable energies and energy control in ecological houses.
TheEco-Maison Sud de France of more than 100 sqm living space can be visited during the exhibition (outdoor exhibition area at the crossroads of the 3 halls), conceived to have a low ecological footprint and minimum energy consumption, equipped with large plate glass windows looking south , a reinforced thermal insolation and solar panels. The Eco-Maison Sud de France is built according to ecological houses standards and has the EFFINERGIE label for low energy consumption houses.
Real showcase of the technologies presented by the exhibitors, the Eco-Maison Sud de France will benefit of an important communication campaign aiming at professionals, public authorities and general public (the event is open one day to general public).
A special brochure will allow visitors to identify the companies whose products were used in the building of the Eco-Maison Sud de France and those presenting similar or the same type of products during the exhibition.

A Regional Resource Center dedicated to Green Buildings will open in the Languedoc-Roussillon Region and will be inaugurated during ENERGAÏA 2008
The Languedoc-Roussillon Region, with the support of ADEME and the European Union, has financed the creation of the Regional Resources Center for Environment Quality in Buildings, which will be inaugurated during ENERGAÏA 2008. This resources center, run by the FFB Languedoc-Roussillon (French Building Federation), the Regional Federation for Civil Engineering, the DERBI (French National Cluster for Renewable Energies and Buildings), the association EnviroBAT Méditerranée (Association for the promotion of the environmental quality in buildings on the mediterranean coast) and the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry will help the construction industry to adapt to new construction techniques. In the Languedoc-Roussillon Region, the houses of tomorrow are built today ! |

iREED - International Conference on Renewable Energy and Eco-Design in Electrical Engineering
Organized by the Electrical Material Club and the South-East Mediterranean Regional Group of the French Society of Electricity and Electronics associated to the Electrical Systems Club of the SEE
 The French SEE (“Société de l’Electricité, de l’Electronique, des Techniques de Communication et de l’Information”) will organize on 10th and 11th December 2008 in Montpellier the IREED International Conference, with the topics of Renewable Energy and Eco-design in Electrical Engineering, to celebrate sumptuously its 125th anniversary.
The French partners are major universities, international companies and institutions working in the field of electrical engineering. The cluster CRÉER (Cluster Research Excellence in Eco-design and Recycling) and the Pole DERBI (Renewable Energy) have agreed to contribute to IREED.
These two days will take place concomitantly with the “Energaïa” Exhibition, which is a significant event for professionals in the Renewable Energies domain (12000 entries in 2007), in order to reach a perfect symbiosis between professional and domestic applications, research and development.
The conference will focus on the latest research and development issues in the field of new materials, systems and components concerning wind power, hydroelectric power, sea power, thermal and solar energies, eco-design and recycling.

The ENERGAÏA 2008 Innovation Trophy

The Innovation Trophy will be awarded to companies which present a particularly innovative project or service in the field of renewable energies: solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, wind energy, wood energy, biomass, etc.
