Promoting renewable energies and energy control are priority issues for the Languedoc-Roussillon. Improving energy efficiency and adapting our production and consumption methods represent a significant challenge, one which the Regional Council is tackling with a proactive strategy.

Over the past five years, the ENERGAÏA trade fair has become a pivotal appointment for all professionals in the renewable energies sector. It is a headline event in the Languedoc Roussillon with regards to the development of new sectors of activity which create jobs, and the Region fully intends to remain at the forefront of such new markets.

ENERGAÏA equally represents a crucial opportunity for sector professionals to identify new markets and discover the latest innovations.

ENERGAÏA has consequently developed a solid programme of scientific conferences which offer an opportunity to exchange information on all aspects of the renewable energies sector and also to discover the latest technological developments:
- Over fifty conferences and round tables will be held during the trade fair (including several with simultaneous translation)
- A half-day will be dedicated to the theme of eco-construction
- For the first time, a day will be dedicated to the theme of Regions and Territories
- Over 10 conferences presented by the Languedoc Roussillon Regional Council in the sectors of wood (construction and energy), solar energy and eco-construction
- A new addition: a half day of conferences and round tables on Solar energy and smart-grids

Please find hereunder the Energaïa 2011 conference programme, prepared by the Scientific Committee.
Very diversified, and with the participation of international experts, it will allow you to learn more about the renewable energies in France and overseas, especially in the Mediterranean countries.
This programme highlights the renewable energies innovations and enable all major players, regional and local authorities, trade associations as well as researchers, to give their view on the future of renewables, as welle as their integration in green buildings.
